Tutoring Session

Tutoring

We offer tutoring services in order to maximize efficient learning of content.  Nevertheless, it is always key to understand why the student needs tutoring.  Tutoring, more often than not, does not solve the root cause of why the student did not learn the material efficiently in the first place.  Typically it has to do with cognitive skills, which is why we focus on brain training.  Nevertheless, it might be necessary to close knowledge content gaps of when the learning process was not as efficient.  This is why we offer tutoring to be able to close the gap once skills are maximized and/or improved as complement of our brain training.  With better skills, tutoring will not be forever but rather, much more efficient and will only be temporary while we close the knowledge gap of what was not properly learned.

In addition, there are more advanced subjects that may need additional support.  Moreover, tutoring might be needed when the learning style of the student might not fit well with the teaching style of the teacher; when instruction is poor or when a student missed classes for a prolonged period of time.  Although these are all less common and are the cause of lower performance less than 10% of the time, they do happen and tutoring can help.

Our tutors are well prepared and specialized on the subject they teach.  Most have Masters degrees.  Tutoring is done one on one in our center but we do have discounts when more than one student will attend.  The services can be virtual through Zoom, face to face at the center or combined.
